Galentine’s Book Swap & Bracelets
Whether you're celebrating Galentine's or just here for an unforgettable winter night out, this is THE event that will have everyone talking (and wishing they joined in).
You may be thinking of a cozy, book-club-like atmosphere, but instead of reading just one book, you're diving into endless possibilities. The kind of night where every book being swapped comes with a story—a recommendation, a rave review, or even the mystery of a kraft-paper-wrapped surprise waiting for YOU to uncover it.
Picture it: a room buzzing with movement and laughter, the sound of pages being flipped, bracelets clinking as they're crafted, and stories shared across the table. It's the evening where friendships are sparked over favorite book recommendations, creativity flows as freely as the conversation, and every corner hums with connection and joy.
Why YOU need to be there:
Swap Stories, Not Just Books: Bring up to 3 books and walk away with fresh reads you'll adore (and a bonus one lucky pick from our wrapped Mystery Swap!)
DIY Your Sparkle: Make your own custom bracelet while bonding with the amazing women around you. Bracelets AND Besties? Yes, please!
Winter's Coziest Vibes: Think heart-filled convo, laugh-until-you-cry moments, and a chance to celebrate YOU with an unforgettable crew of gals.
WHEN: Monday, February 3rd | 6 PM – 8 PM
WHERE: The Garage, 1703 Mediterranean Ave, Virginia Beach
Snag your ticket now, and bring your squad! This is your February highlight—a night you won't want to "book" over.
TIDAL: A Solo Art Exhibit by Caesar
This upcoming show will feature a collection of landscape paintings from Caesar, a Virginia based artist. His new body of work is a series of canvases based on the rural scenery of the lower Chesapeake Bay.
Having spent the past few years living and working in the tidewater region, taking photos of the fields and the reeds throughout the changing seasons and the rising tides has been a regular past time. These images become the paintings.
The brushwork is loose and lofty, pushing and pulling horizon lines, fencing off water and light. This aesthetic is under the influence of impressionist painters like Bonnard and Monet, and the landscape paintings of the late great Wayne Thiebaud. In all, this show offers a solid group of traditional landscape paintings on canvas, celebrating the subtle beauty of this unique coastal community.
Opening night:
Friday, February 7, 2025
6:30 - 9:30 p.m.
The GarageVB, 1703 Mediterranean Ave. Virginia Beach, VA, 23451
Free and open to the public!
Show will run from February 7th - February 16th

~ About the Artist ~
After a photography journey spanning decades, Lori Golding Zontini is overjoyed to announce her return to the art world with Ethereal, her first exhibition since 2007. This show is a deeply personal milestone, representing not only her creative evolution but also her lifelong love for capturing the world around us.
Born and raised in Norfolk and a proud resident of Virginia Beach since Lori was 16, her roots are woven into the landscapes that inspire her. From the soft waves of our beaches to the tranquil flow of our waterways and the majestic peaks of our mountains, Virginia’s natural beauty has always been her muse. Lori’s work takes these familiar settings and reimagines them, infusing vibrant colors and surreal elements to create dreamlike, ethereal visions that invite you to see the world through her lens.
Photography has been part of Lori’s story since childhood—an ever-present companion that has grown with her through life’s milestones. Now, at 50, she’s realized there’s no better time to share the culmination of years of passion, learning, and exploration. Working in a community that embraces and uplifts local artists has inspired her to take this leap, to bring her vision into the light, and to say, “Why wait any longer?”
This show is more than an exhibit—it’s a celebration of dreams realized, a tribute to the beauty that surrounds us, and a heartfelt invitation to step into the surreal. Lori would be deeply honored to share this moment with her friends, family, and supporters. Your presence on opening night would mean the world to Lori, as together, we celebrate the art, the journey, and the courage to bring a lifelong dream to life.
Let’s make this evening unforgettable—an ode to art, to community, and to the timeless power of following our passions.
Show will run from March 15 - 23, 2025

It’s a cozy, uplifting session (with glue sticks and good vibes), and the takeaway - Pure MAGIC. You'll walk away with your personal dream board for 2025. Oh, and the momentum to actually follow through.
This workshop is creatively co-hosted by two friends who share a deep passion for the power of dreams—Tessa, a talented muralist who brings visions to life through art (and owner of the Garage where it is all happening) and Kathy Hyland, a life coach dedicated to helping women unlock their true potential. Together, we believe that dream boards are more than just pictures—they’re the first step to creating a life you’re excited to live.
Yes, we will be cutting out magazine pictures and pasting them on a board (along the way we will share different art styles that bring your board to life) It’s about taking a moment to reconnect with YOU. The version of you who dreams boldly, sees big possibilities, and deserves the life she craves in 2025.
What to Expect in This 2-Hour Workshop:
● A Spark of Energy: Reignite your excitement for the year ahead.
● Crystal-Clear Focus: Stop spinning your wheels. Find clarity on the goals that truly matter.
● A Boost in Mood and Motivation: You'll leave feeling lighter, brighter, and READY to take action.
● Community Connection: Contribute to our Community Dream Board and experience the power of women supporting women.

Book Signings and Fun
About the Book: On a frigid November night at high tide, a young woman unties the dock lines and watches the land recede as the sailboat she's standing on floats out to sea. She has a jacket, a scarf, and a deep need to reinvent herself. Living Tidal is part adventure, part love story: a coming-of-age memoir that captures the hearts and minds of readers with each page. Journalist Sheena Jeffers addresses the curiosity, self-doubt, and the desire we all have to deeply experience the world as we embark on the lifelong journey to know ourselves.
About the Author: Sheena began writing as a young girl, scribbling the happenings around her into the pages of her Lisa Frank journal. As boxes began to overflow with journals, a thought occurred to her: “Maybe you should chase this writing thing down a bit,” and she registered for creative writing classes in middle school.
Her love for writing eventually landed her a scholarship for a journalism degree, which she completed and then added on an English degree. Her work has appeared in the Richmond Times-Dispatch, the Washington Examiner, Waterborne Magazine, Sailing Scuttlebutt, and the anthology, Facing Fear Head On: True Stories from Women on the Water.
She has been featured on TODAY.com, the Inspired Woman’s Podcast, the Roanoke Times, and in 2016 she was awarded “Millennial on the Move” by CoVaBiz Mag.
During her travels, she was the host of podcasts Breathe Full and Seas Life for Good, as well as the producer of a sailing YouTube Channel that gathered over 10,000+ engaged followers.
